Step-by-Step Application Guide

  1. Surface preparation
    Remove loose rust, paint, or grease. Wire-brush or grind to bare metal. Substrate moisture must be ≤10%. No blast profile required.
  2. Mix components
    Combine Component A (white powder) and Component B (black paste) by hand until uniform grey colour with no streaks. Working time approx. 20 min at 25°C.
  3. Apply to defect
    Press mixed putty firmly into crack, hole, or gap. For pipe wrap, form putty into a strip and apply 360° around the defect, overlapping 50 mm each side.
  4. Shape and compress
    Smooth with a wet glove. The unique property: putty can be stretched 20–30 cm without tearing before cure, allowing wrap-around complex shapes.
  5. Surface dry (29 min)
    Tack-free at 29 minutes (25°C). Light handling possible. Keep dry.
  6. Full cure (8.35 h) → Restore service
    Return to full operating pressure after 8.35 hours. For pressures above 16 bar, apply a stainless steel clamp over the cured putty.

For low-pressure systems (≤6 bar), yes — the putty bonds to damp substrates and sets under moderate static pressure. For dynamic or high-pressure systems (>6 bar), isolate and depressurise before application, then reinstate after full cure (8.35 h) with a clamp overlay.

Is it suitable for potable water pipelines?

The product is REACH/RoHS compliant with 8 heavy metals all N.D. For potable water contact approval in UAE, refer to local authority requirements (DEWA/ADWEA). We supply full test reports to support submission.

What is the maximum service temperature for repaired pipes?
