Surface Preparation for UAE Conditions
Bond strength is substrate-preparation-dependent. For 22.4 MPa certified performance:
- Remove all contamination (oil, grease, salts). In coastal UAE environments, chloride levels must be below 0.01% on the repair surface — KalciteBond’s chloride ion resistance is <0.01%.
- Mechanical preparation: disc grind concrete to CSP 3 minimum; sandblast or disc-grind steel to Sa 2.5 / St 3.
- Substrate moisture: apply on surfaces with ≤10% moisture content (product handles damp substrates up to 10%).
- Ambient temperature: 5–40°C. In UAE summer, schedule application before 09:00 or after 17:00.
